Dr Jess Modini is available for consulting and advisory engagements across cyber security strategy, artificial intelligence, sovereign technology, and product leadership. With a career spanning national security, critical infrastructure, big tech and startup leadership -- and an active research and teaching role at UNSW -- Jess brings executive-level depth to organisations navigating complex security, compliance, and technology decisions. She works with governments, critical infrastructure operators, and technology businesses seeking credible, independent expertise at the intersection of security, AI, and product. Jess holds a Doctorate of Cyber Security, as well as 5 master’s qualifications in Cybersecurity Operations, Systems Engineering, Space Operations, Project Management and International Relations (Security) and a range of professional certifications.

Drawing on a career spanning Defence and Intelligence, the Australian Cyber Security Centre, Amazon Web Services, research and her current role as a founding executive at Corro, Jess brings rare depth across technical, policy, academic and commercial domains. She speaks to audiences ranging from government ministers and C-suite executives to security professionals and students -- with presence on stages in Australia and internationally.

Research Projects

Jess is an affiliate of the UNSW Institute for Cyber Security (IFCyber) at UNSW Canberra, where her doctoral research examined cyber epidemiology as a framework for operationalising resilience across critical infrastructure sectors. Jess is interested in cross-disciplinary, applied research that improves national security and resilience outcomes.
